The Palau de la Musica Catalan is located in a pedestrian neighbourhood, so you will only be able to move around by foot during your stay in the apartments near Palau de la Musica.
However, if you move around the big avenues near Palau de la Musica, like Via Laietana or Carrer Trafalgar (close to Plaza Urquinaona), you will be able to move around by car or metro. Plaça Ramon Berenguer is a space where history and architecture convey, thanks to an important fact: the remains of the old Roman wall of the city are next to what was later built in the 14th as the Santa Ágata Chapel.
Plaça Ramon Berenguer is located in one of the busiest streets of Barcelona: Via Laietana. It’s crowned by a great equestrian sculpture of Ramon Berenguer, who gave name to the square and who was the Count of Barcelona during the 11th century. If you pay attention, you will see that the statue is not well proportioned: the tail of the horse is too big, because it was added later during its remodelling.
